Philippines Web Tutorial -> Philippine Web Hosting Guide to Choosing the Best Web Hosting Company for Your Philippine BusinessFor the past 3 years, I have used only one Web hosting company for all 12 business Web sites that I manage. My reasons for choosing and staying with this Web hosting company: 1. Easy to use - graphical tools to make uploading of files easy. No need to learn ftp. 2. Speed - fast connections that allow my Web pages to load quickly on a Web browser. Some of my Web sites are in the top 20 percentile fastest Web sites on the Internet based on Alexa. 3. Reliability - my Web site must be up, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, 31 days in a month. I rarely encounter situations wherein my Web host service was down. 4. Tracking - ability to analyze and data mine log files to provide performance statistics. I am now able to look at my historical data to create Web sites that attract traffic and have a high conversion rate. 5. Value - price to performance ratio. At less than $40 per year for each of my websites, I find my Web hosting company to be a good deal. And for the past 3 years, the Web hosting company that I personally use has managed to meet all my expectations at a very reasonable price. Actually, I find the money I spend on this Web hosting company to be a good investment. The Web hosting company that I use to host all my Web sites and those of Philippine corporations is called Catalog. Sidebar: Although I am living in the Philippines, and manage the Web sites of several Philippine corporations, I host all these Web sites in a Web hosting company based in the USA. This is because they are faster and cheaper compared to Web hosting services in the Philippines. This setup is not a problem, I simply pay via my BPI MasterCard. (Note that some advertised Philippine Web hosting services are actually just reselling the Web hosting services based in the USA). Domain NamesThese are some domain names and Web sites I have registered, managed, and hosted with Catalog:
Tip: When choosing a domain name for your business, I recommend finding one that has a .com extension. People by default assume business domain names end with a .com extension. Wishing you and your business continued success.
P.S. I discovered Catalog (the Web hosting and domain registrar company I am using) when I read it was ranked as the best web hosting company a few years back by CNET.com, one of the most reputable IT websites on the Internet. Philippines Web Tutorial - Articles and
