Description of activities:

1. Conducted preliminary feasibility study, designed network configuration and cost
estimate of establishing voice and data links to be presented to clients .
Prepared service work orders and arranged shipment of needed equipment to site
upon approval of project proposal.
Monitored projects until completion.
Facilities - VSAT MCPC, SDH, PDH, TDMA and Physical Lines network.

2. Prepared network configuration and service work order for upgrade of MCPC
bandwidth and expansion of multiplexers in distribution centers nationwide.

3. Deloaded VSAT network by re-routing channels via SDH. Established dedicated data
links from head office to every distribution centers nationwide.

4. Overall project coordinator for the installation of VSAT DAMA Public Calling Offices
(PCO) nationwide. Prepared service work order and network design.

Purchased, allocated and assisted in the shipment of satellite equipment to PCO sites.
Monitored construction and installation of each site. Documented regular status reports.

5. Designed network for 2 channel radios and other SDH spur links. Prepared path
profiles for radio links using contour maps.

6. Field assignments : Surveyed PCO sites using satellite / radio considerations.Installed VSAT DAMA facilities.

• Was able to conceptualize a scheme that reduced the project implementation time by as much as 40%.
• Was able to expedite the installation of 196 VSAT DAMA stations nationwide within 11 months of handling the position.

Description of activities:

1. Act as a project officer to the BPS Technical Committees - Technical Committee
on Power Transformers, Technical Committee on Audio, Video and Multimedia
Systems and Equipment.

2. Conducts studies and evaluates technical researches and products for standardization.

3. Coordinates and facilitates testing of products and methods to check standard /
parameters and requirements to generate baseline data which supports the adoption
of limits and values in the national standards.

4. Recommends programs on specialized fields of products or group of products
for standardization, facilitates the deliberation of the draft Philippine National Standard.

• Was able to review 100 International Standards Organization (ISO) standards and endorsed them
for adoption as Philippine National Standards (PNS).
